AHI Travel, an international tour operator, recognized around the world for its design and operation of deluxe educational travel programs, is looking for an individual experienced in providing travel-related services to domestic and international travelers, including the booking of domestic and international air transportation and accommodations, to fill the position of Manager, After Hours Passenger Service.   This is a work-from-home position.   This position, working with an AHI support team, provides solutions to travel related problems encountered by AHI travelers while in transit, including but not limited to airline delays or cancellations. “After hours” are 5 p.m. to 8:59 a.m. M-F and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. Essential Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve as scheduled as primary contact for in-transit AHI passengers after hours Troubleshoot urgent travel situations that arise and provide appropriate assistance Coordinate as needed with AHI international staff and in-office staff Coordinate overnight accommodations for in transit passengers as needed Coordinate or execute adjustments to passengers’ air itineraries Alert international travel staff of updates in passengers’ travel arrangements Qualifications: Substantial familiarity with airline procedures and international customs regulations Proficiency with GDS, preferably Amadeus, for ticket rebooking and reissuing Knowledge of world geography Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency in multiple communications channels, including telephone, email, text, what’s app. Effective organizational and time management skills Capability of working independently as well as in a team environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Organizational skills and ability to multi-task Professional, Outgoing and Customer Service Oriented Strong desire to provide a once in a lifetime travel experience Previous experience as a home travel agent is desired Salary commensurate with availability Job Type: Part-time
