About the role

 We currently have a brand new and exciting role as an Air Ticketing Specialist to come and join our downtown Toronto team.

 Sitting in our Operations Team, you will report into our Air Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the processing of ticketing requests, as well as the creation and management of our automated ticketing platform. You will be our Air Ticketing ‘go-to’ person and you will help educate the business on current events and topics in the field. This role is the first of its kind at Kognitiv and you will have the opportunity to create, manage, own and grow your own department within a global organization.


Your main areas of responsibilities are (but not be limited to):

  • Own all ticketing
  • Assist with ARC and BSP Reconciliation
  • Proactively look for opportunities to optimize margin and improve guest value
  • Responding to service-related inquiries on the service desk to assist with booking, pricing and/or air inquiries
  • Assisting clients directly with resolving airline issues
  • Maintain queues for quality control and schedule changes


 Who are you?

 To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is passionate about travel and who brings a dynamic and energetic approach to the role. The position requires GDS experience and attention to detail is key! You bring a high level of curiosity as well as conscientiousness with you and you are a master at keeping your cool whilst you are plate spinning!

Your aviation background allows you to manipulate complex itineraries for the purpose of best pricing options, utilizing published and/or contracted net fares and you have the ability to read, understand and implement airline contracts.

  • 2+ years’ experience with Amadeus and/or Travelport (Sabre a bonus)
  • Process ticket requests in multiple GDS systems, including exchanges and refunds
  • Understanding of BSP and IAR settlements
  • ARC/BSP Debit Memos and Credit Memos
  • Interest in current events within the Travel Industry
