Job Summary


Plans, manages and coordinates the activities of employees assigned to the Logistics Directorate either directly or through subordinate managers. This position is highly Customer focused and represents URS to Government and vendor representatives. Either directly or through subordinate managers:

+ Responsible for development and sustainment of a culture of safety, quality, compliance, ethics, and professionalism within the Logistics Directorate,

+ Provides oversight and direction to the Logistics Directorate, to include plans, development and administration of policies and processes per the contract requirements,

+ Establishes, modifies or directs the establishment or modification of work procedures to ensure and contractual requirements are met,

+ Responsible for keeping Customer representatives apprised of on-going and long-term activities,

+ Partners with US Army Airfield Directorate and Program Management Directorate,

+ Responsible for the administration of Company policies,

+ Directs the implementation of performance management tools by subordinate managers and supervisors,

+ Responsible for the Logistics Directorate manning requirements in coordination with Human Resources,

+ Ensures environment of mutual understanding and respect throughout workforce to include Collective Bargaining Unit, Management and US Government personnel,

+ Establishes community relations with key personnel and provides support as needed,

+ Ensures Government Furnished Equipment and Facilities are inventoried, properly maintained and cared for,

+ Implements new processes, procedures, systems to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness of operations,

+ Ensures Environmental, Health and Safety contractual requirements are adhered to,

+ Interacts with Labor Relations,

+ Assists in Special Projects,

+ Ensures Logistics Directorate employees understand and comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement,

+ Serves as Logistics POC for long term planning requirements.

Minimum Requirements

The Logistics Manager requires a Bachelors? degree or 8 years? equivalent experience, and a minimum of 12 years of directly related US Army or Air Force rotary wing aviation maintenance experience, including 6 years of Aviation maintenance / logistics management experience as well as experience leading an organization of over 200 staff; Demonstrated areas of experience must include:

+ Current working knowledge of US Army regulations, requirements, processes and systems for rotary wing maintenance.

+ Experience in the establishment or modification of processes to support aviation Logistics operations.

+ Familiar with Aviation Maintenance and Aviation Maintenance Support Shops (AMSS) operations.

+ Familiar with ISO 9001, AS9100 or AS9110 in an aviation sustainment environment.

+ Familiar with commercial or commercial variant aircraft sustainment and FAA regulations.

+ Ability to handle multiple issues and projects in a changing, diverse environment.

+ Ability to establish priorities in a changing environment.

+ Ability to Obtain SECRET Security Clearance.

+ Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement preferred.
