Job Description - Primary duties of the Fleet Mechanic II include operational and functional inspections, repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment to include automobiles and light trucks, medium and heavy trucks and line construction and support equipment within defined program guidelines.

* The MT2 performs repair and maintenance operations on a variety of powered and non-powered equipment and vehicles to include, but not limited to, cranes, backhoes, trailers, trenchers, diggers and pole setting equipment, aerial man lifts, medium and heavy trucks and mounted/non-mounted attachments.

* Diagnosis maintains and repairs hydraulic systems, routes and replaces hydraulic lines; checks system for leaks and proper operation. Performs routine vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance inspections checking and replaces fluids, checks lights and other electrical system components, etc.

Required Skills Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, vocational/technical training, repair and 3 ? 5 years of related experience. Verifiable heavy truck and equipment repair experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities and may include the following:- Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Pennsylvania State Inspection License- ASE Master Technician certifications preferred- Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Level Certification- Fluid Power Mobile Hydraulic Technician Certification preferred
