The Healthcare Resorts in Kansas seeks an experienced healthcare Business Office Manager to work for and on behalf of facilities affiliated with The Ensign Group, Inc. ().

This is a unique position that will be shared to support our 5 Healthcare Resorts in Kansas City, Shawnee, Leawood, Topeka and Olathe. Experienced with Kansas Medicaid is a must!

Job Description

The role of the Business Office Manager is to direct the accounting functions of the facility in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care industry.

Duties to include:

* Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility's accounting functions under the supervision of the Administrator.

* Review the facility's accounting policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make recommendations to the Administrator.

* Interpret the facility's accounting policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc., as necessary.

* Develop and maintain written job descriptions and performance evaluations for accounting personnel in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, OSHA, and other pertinent laws and regulations.

* Supervise and train personnel involved in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, resident funds, etc.

* Monitor internal controls to assure compliance with established procedures.

Qualifications

* Experienced with Kansas Medicaid is a must!

* Experience in long term care facility is required

* Must have working knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting to include Medicare, Medicaid and third party billing.

* Bachelor's or Associate's degree from accredited college with specialization in business or accounting is preferred.

* Ability to commute between the 5 locations when needed

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Professional and organized

* Solid leadership and relationship/team building skills- prior leadership/supervisor experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

* Traveling to each facility will be required.
