PATIENT TRANSPORT

FULL TIME/8-4:30 PM/80 HOURS PER PAY

The Transportation Manager has 24-hour responsibility for the Premier Health transportation hub. The Transportation Manager manages, supervises and oversees the coordination of all aspects of transportation, including the CareFlight Air and Mobile Communication Center and all transportation coordination for as for Premier Health facilities including all hospitals, FSEDS, skilled nursing and rehab facilities. He/She is responsible to foster a consistent culture of customer service excellence, safety and collaboration. Additionally, he/she is responsible for staffing and scheduling of the transportation staff, including Communications specialists, and transportation coordinators; policy and procedure development and implementation, departmental performance improvement, and financial management of salaries, equipment supplies, billing and meeting all Premier Health strategic goals.

Additionally, he/she, will work closely with key stakeholders across the system to implement and develop workflow processes that enhance patient care and align with strategic goals of Premier Health.

Manages and ensures throughput for all facilities

Manages the contract for ambulance services and contract compliance

Collaborates and works with the Access and referral center

Collects and analyzes the data

Achieve seamless delivery of service by appropriately involving colleagues, physicians, other customers, and staff to ensure commitment, communication and cross functional linkages.

Collaborates in developing and implementing processes which achieve strategically relevant quality outcomes.

Overseeing and developing systems to ensure accountability for operations and managerial effectiveness.

Articulating unit vision and utilizing resources to ensure staff commitment to strategic and unit objectives.

Developing a team of highly skilled professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field. This position requires a minimum of three years of hospital, aviation, medical transportation or business experience with progressive leadership.

Leadership, planning, human relations and oral/written communication skills are required. Knowledge and experience in the field of air medical service and critical care transport, radio systems and communications is recommended. Knowledge in Microsoft office products is required.
