Current Need

Position Description

Reporting to the Global Logistics & Compliance Manager, the position holder will play a pivotal role in the setup of the brokerage department to include the day to day operations and management of the newly formed team. The position will have responsibility to ensure effective and efficient file processing, ISF, customs clearance, OGA releases and deliveries to the distribution centers. The candidate will be responsible for supervising the brokerage team, the document flow, clearance times and communicating any delays, releases and ETA's to the proper parties within McKesson. Operating at a strategic level, influencing, challenging and being robust in a interpersonal engagement. The candidate must be familiar with all aspects of international imports / customs entries including, bills of lading, commercial invoices, airline freight documentation, and steamship handling procedures and documentation. This position will require being highly skilled in U.S. Customs Regulations, Free Trade agreements, Valuation, Entry, Post Entry and Harmonized Tariff Classification procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manages the fast and efficient flow of goods from the factories to the warehouses and is responsible for clearance and the delivery of products and all required documentation.

* Effectively classifies import/export shipments to ensure compliance with all government agency rules and regulations.

* Work collaboratively with operations to seek continuous improvements in operations that minimize exposure to violations.

* Work with the International team on the annual RFP processes. Providing communication to all internal intersections.

* Serve as liaison between the manufacturers, logistics providers, and customers.

* Work with International freight manager in Ireland on delivering the monthly dashboard brokerage figures to all intersections within Global Sourcing.

* Produce presentations regarding import numbers to include entries filed, line items processed and quarterly OGA status for the Global Supplier Operations team within McKesson Medical Surgical International businesses for the quarterly meetings to the board of directors including President of Global Sourcing.

* Maintain excellent day to day relationships and communications with the all key stakeholders in the supply chain ? manufacturers, freight forwarders / carriers, and McKesson Medical Surgical business unit's personnel.

* Work with all intersections on ISF documentation.

* Manage the junior import specialist within the team.

* Manage all entries filed by another customs broker.

Minimum Requirements

10 years of logistics and important brokerage experience

Critical Skills

* Commercial, project management, operational and compliance experience across all modes of transport, Inco terms and other government agencies (OGA).

* Experience and understanding of issues and working practices within all facets of US import

* clearances.

* Direct experience in Customs, RLF, FDA and OGA requirements.

* Custom Brokers license required.

Education:

4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

General office environment.

Travel, both regional and international will be required as part of this role.
