Job Summary

Houseperson Duties:

Helpful by nature, with a watchful eye, you're happiest in motion. Upon arrival, you scan the area to see what needs attending. You enjoy tidying up and making sure everything's in its place. You pitch in to help housekeeping with heavy lifting and attend to guest needs. And you love saving the day when you find that missing treasure, whether expensive valuable or precious sentiment. If you're ready for a change and want to make a difference, consider an opportunity with Interstate, as Houseperson.

As Houseperson, you will

* Make rounds through the halls each shift to ensure public areas are clean and tidy, taking care to remove or replace anything out of order.

* Coordinate and help housekeeping with heavy lifting and priority requests.

* Use your watchfulness to report missing or found articles and any sign of damage or needed repair.

* Be graciously attentive to guests, answering questions and getting additional help when it's needed.

Fundamentals

Prior housekeeping experience is helpful. The ability to communicate effectively in Basic English is required. The ability to operate a vacuum, floor buffer, carpet cleaner and pressure washer is expected.

Driver Position Duties:

You're happiest when you're on the move. You have a friendly, helpful nature. You enjoy hearing passenger stories and sharing helpful info along the route. Traffic jam? No problem. You know the best routes for getting passengers safely to their destination and on time. Your driving record is spotless; the same way you keep the property's vehicle, because it reflects the hotel and first impressions stick. That's good business. Sound good? Then, consider a Driver position with Interstate.

As a Driver, you will

* Transport guests safely to and from the property, carefully handling luggage.

* Graciously welcome guests with open doors and luggage assistance.

* Respond with helpful info about getting around and offer suggestions for local events and activities.

* Ensure the vehicle is clean, gassed, and ready to go, noting any malfunction at the first sign.

Fundamentals

High school education or equivalent experience is required, with prior customer service experience helpful. A Chauffer's License is helpful but not required; however, you must possess an excellent driving record, verified by Motor Vehicle Administration report. The ability to skillfully drive all vehicle speed shifts for vans, limousines and automobiles is required. You must be able to communicate effectively. This position requires full mobility, lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling a luggage cart up to 200 pounds.

This position requires the completion of an online Guest Service assessment. Shortly after submitting your application you will receive an email with a link to the online assessment. Your application will not be considered further until you have also finished and submitted the assessment. The assessment will take about 25 minutes and we recommend you dedicate time without distractions or interruptions to complete it. Please complete the assessment as quickly as your schedule allows. If you have already completed a Guest Service assessment within the last 90 days you will not be required to complete one again.
