The Ski & Snowboard School Assistant Training Manager is responsible for creating a positive training culture at their location, and throughout the Ski & Snowboard School, by leading the Resort priorities and modeling our company's values. This is achieved by collaborating with supervisors, managers and Ski & Snowboard School leadership on the creation, administration, quality control, staffing, and delivery of Ski & Snowboard School training. This position reports directly to the Training Manager.

Job Responsibilities include; but are not limited to:

* Understand, lead and model the Resort and Company's mission, vision and values

* Understand, lead and model safety standards within the department

* Communicate effectively with leadership, peers and other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests

* Meet and greet internal and external guests daily, and role model exceptional guest service

* Develop, coordinate and schedule staff training

* Work with other Assistant Training Managers, Training Manager and Location Managers to ensure quality and consistency of products/services throughout the school

* Deliver exceptional guest experiences, and develop training specific to business and guest needs

* Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the training program through quality control and regular communication with pros, trainers, training team, supervisors and managers

* Perform daily operational supervisor duties during peak periods

* Remain current with professional organizations, industry trends, competitions, and events

* Teach lessons to the public when necessary

* Lead training clinics when necessary

Requirements:

* High School diploma or equivalant

* Minimum of three years experience as a Ski & Snowboard School Instructor

* Minimum of one year of supervisory/management/leadership experience in a relavant field or activity

* PSIA/AASI Level 3 certification or equivalent

* Microsoft Office proficiency

* English, fluency in both written and verbal

* Be able to work in a high alpine environment

* Excellent guest service and communication skills

* Work well in a team environment

* Be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, weekdays, evenings and holidays

Preferred Skills:

* PSIA/AASI RMT or equivalent

* Clinic leading/creation experience

* Children Specialist 2 accreditation or equivalent

* RPOS experience

* College degree in relevant field
