Under general supervision, greets and seats restaurant guests and controls flow.

* Deliver internal and external guest service the Pinnacle Way. Always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor. Be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members. Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members. Be sincere and genuine during all interactions. Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team members' needs and questions.

* Answer guest questions about Ameristar East Chicago restaurants including operating hours and answer general questions about property facility and services.

* Knowledgably converse with guests regarding unique Stadium sports memorabilia.

* Familiar with Stadium beer menu, including styles descriptions, and able to assist guests with appropriate pairings.

* From memory, suggest signature cocktails to guests using ingredients and flavor descriptions.

* Familiar with Stadium food menu, including description, price, add-ons and able to assist guests alcohol pairing.

* Keep entry area and To-Go counter clean and organized.

* Work in cooperation with other service personnel to provide a high quality of service. Assist as required in table maintenance and clean when necessary.

* Greet and seat guests at tables according to guest preference and table availability.

* Inform guests of restaurant specials, feature items and personal favorites.

* Accurately obtain food and beverage To-Go orders from guest ensuring orders are complete and in accordance with company To-Go procedures.

* Keep reservation system, host area and To-Go counter stocked with necessary equipment, forms and supplies.

* Ensure dining and serving areas are set up and maintained according to standard.

* Accurately account for and collect payment for all food and beverage orders through POS system in a timely manner.

* Participate in liquor glassware removal, ensuring compliance with all Indiana Gaming Commission regulations and Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission regulations.

* Limit problems related to guests' alcohol consumption by providing responsible alcohol service, as taught in the responsible alcohol certification course.

* Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, hours of operations, proper table set-up.

* Must maintain proper uniform requirements of the position including wearing special event uniforms provided for Holidays and other special occasions deemed by management.

* Maintain a well-groomed, neat, clean appearance, in accordance with established appearance policy.

* Assist as requested with special events on and off property.

* Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, and cleanliness of work environment.

* Attend all company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled.

* Abide by all State, State Gaming, Federal and Corporate liquor Regulations. Also pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.

* Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner.

* Complete opening, closing and other side duties as assigned by the supervisors.

* Collect and accurately report tips at the end of the assigned shift.

* Resiliently deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and work harmoniously with coworkers.

* Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.

* Perform all duties as assigned by management.


* Must be at least 18 years of age.? Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external guests effectively.? Demonstrated proper telephone etiquette.? Demonstrated ability to operate electronic reservation system and flow charts.? Must be able to pass all Stadium training tests.? Must be able to learn, retain and apply on the job, all knowledge taught in Stadium Host/Cashier training, including but not limited to Stadium sports memorabilia, beer menus, cocktail & food menus and all service standards.?
