We provide security services at a large aviation facility where health,safety and security is our #1 priority. This is an industrialenvironment with the corresponding levels of traffic (employees, visitors,suppliers, trucks, etc.) and a variety of large and small industrial machinery bothstatic and moving with a high noise levels as a result.

This position is located at the FedEx Facility, 6050 Rockwell Ave in Anchorage, AK. The required schedules for these shifts are rotational, one (1) week on / one (1) week off shifts with 12 hour days, 7 days a week. The day shift is 0600-1800 and the night shift is 1800-0600 with overtime paid at time and a half.


* Personally monitors either visually, electronically or audibly a variety of assigned buildings, areas, or grounds by working in a variety of assignments including but not limited to roving inside the facility, roving in a vehicle, visitor center and other locations deemed appropriate.

* Ensures own actions and those of others observe maximum level of safety and compliance

* Permits only properly authorized and/or badged individuals to enter the property.

* Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.

* Reports and records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, accordance with company policies and procedures.

* Warns violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel violators.

* Notifies on site individuals of visitors wishing to see them.

* Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property, including but not limited to fire safety, active shooter protocol.

* May perform routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.

* May issue and record ID badges.

* May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems to make sure they are operational.

* Other related duties may also be assigned.


* High school diploma or GED equivalent.

* At least two (2) years of directly related experience.

* A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.

* Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

* Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts in various areas of the plant and work overtime as required

* Applicant must complete and pass all required training within given timeframe as per contract requirements.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required tosee, hear and speak. Employee must be alert at all times. Depending on shiftand work assignment, employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or sitfor extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or moveup to 50 pounds. The employee may be exposed to outside harsh weatherconditions. The noise level in the work environment (manufacturing plant) isusually high. Incumbent must be able to work in less than ideal offices,facilities, or situations
