Sports Bar - Bartender
The Bartender mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons. The bartender must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. They must always follow proper drink recipes and should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. They will display integrity and honesty in all aspects of their employment and be knowledgeable with regard to all laws pertaining to the consumption of alcohol. Must be at least 21 years of age and a current Health Card must be obtained within fourteen (14) days. A Tips Card and Class 12 Mixologist permit must be obtained within sixty (60) days of employment if deemed necessary for your position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Maintain a friendly and courteous attitude
Maintains a clean an professional appearance;
Solely responsible for bank checked out from cash cage;
Properly enables the Ticket-to-Drink procedure;
Takes and serves orders from guests or Cocktail Server;
Prepares drinks by mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks and properly garnishes the drinks;
Accepts and processing payments for drinks served;
Stocks liquors, beer, wine, soda, juices, etc. and supplies;
Responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the bar area. Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display. Wipes down entree bar and surrounding areas and changes ash trays for patrons;
Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
Ensures all neon lights and TV's are on and TV's are set to the appropriate channel at all times;
Maintains communications with supervisor and department manager;
Implements "cut-off" procedures when warranted;
Completes daily side work sheet
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 3-4 years prior bar tending experience in high production facility and/or 3 years prior restaurant or drinking establishment bar tending experience preferred. Prior bar tending classes or training school is desirable. Knowledge of "host liquor laws" and state drinking age requirements is necessary. Must be able to read recipes or other preparatory information. Willing to train such individuals who are highly motivated to succeed in bar tending.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to calculate required quantities, liquid or dry measures.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
