JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, directs activities in the Poker Room on an assigned shift; creates/modifies work assignments to ensure the overall operational efficiency the Poker Room; and performs other duties as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The position is distinguished from other Poker Room employees by its responsibility for Poker Room activities on an assigned shift and its oversight of other staff.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Provides oversight, assigns tasks, coordinates work and/or monitors the work of other Poker Room personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This class specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)
Supervise Poker Room activities by assigning, coordinating and/or monitoring the work of Poker Room personnel during an assigned shift, including scheduling breaks and administering corrective action, in order to ensure smooth, efficient operations and excellent guest service.
Create and/or modify work assignments by evaluating activity in the Poker Room to determine the most efficient staff/player ratios in order to ensure a minimum of guest play interruption and promote guest satisfaction.
Oversee the performance of staff, providing regular input regarding quality and quantity of work; provide employees with guidance and oversight to correct deficiencies and improve productivity.
Respond to guests' questions, using the Quick Reference Guide to provide information about casino gaming promotions, special and other events and/or programs in order to assist guests, advertise marketing campaigns and encourage guest attendance and participation.
Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner to provide information within the area of assignment, to provide excellent customer service and to promote the Carson Nugget as the "friendliest casino in town".

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide training and oversight to Poker Room staff.
Maintain the appearance of the poker room by performing clean-up as necessary to achieve a neat and welcoming environment.
Perform the full range of duties of Poker Room Dealer.
Ensure that assigned staff performs duties and responsibilities in a safe and prudent manner, not exposing them or others to unnecessary harm or risk of on-the-job injury.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Previous fulltime dealers' experience in casino poker room environment which included Omaha and Texas Hold "Em. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.

Licenses and Certifications:
Must be able to obtain Nevada Gaming Registration.
