Aviation Planner/Rotary will develop lessons, lead seminars and instruct in JSOU courses taught in the CONUS and Mobile Education Events conducted by JSOU outside the OCONUS.?? Lectures on the full range of special operations topics related to rotary wing aviation planning in SOF operations, programs and activities.?? ?? Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) * Lecture on the full range of special operations topics related to aviation planning in SOF operations, programs and activities.?? * Advise and support the proper discharge of academic duties of the Center for Continuing Education including curriculum design, development, presentation and evaluation of educational material.?? * Work effectively with the university???s governance committees. * Mentor the development and execution of professional education effectively and efficiently, ensuring that accepted standards ethical behavior are met.?? * Maintain a network of SMEs that can support and contribute to the success of the Center for Continuing Education.?? * Represent the interests of the Center for Continuing Education externally with senior administrative leadership of relevant national security programs.?? * Enhance the reputation of the Center for Continuing Education and the university by providing quality professional education and communicating that education to the SOF community.?? * Meet with students during arranged hours, individual class preparation, maintain an active research agenda, and prepare of new lectures. ?? Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) * Master???s degree required. PhD preferred. * 5+ years of experience in the SOF community. * Must have instructor, project, or program management experience or have graduated from a Methods of Instruction Course recognized by JSOU academic Dean. * Expert experience in US Special Operations Aviation (Rotary Wing). * Secret clearance required. ?????????? ?? Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI clearance. * Expert knowledge on tactical and operational level SOF air and aviation planning topics. * Expert knowledge in NATO or Multi-National special aviation and air operations. * Expert knowledge of history of Special Operations Forces military operations/organizations, Multi-National Special Operations Forces and the use of Special Operations Forces across the spectrum of conflict.?? * Ability to facilitate student lead presentations of Mission Analysis and Course of Action development, providing detailed feedback and outlining corrective actions to both US and International students. * Ability to work harmoniously and maintain professional relationships with military and civilian scholars and researchers. * Ability to support Mobile Education Teams by conducting periods of extensive travel throughout the world. * Extensive knowledge in the application of instructional system design. * Knowledge of the principles of adult professional education. ??
