Cobham is seeking an Outside Sales Manager that will maximize sales to achieve Order Intake and Revenue in year for USA and Canada. The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for delivery of the sales plan to achieve order Intake & revenue goals and grow the Business Unit's (BU) relationship by developing and maintaining intimate customer relationships within a Customer Account or group of accounts. They should develop and cultivate relationships and requirements across a group of customers or regions within the BU. Establish and drive strategies within the BU Account(s) businesses to: promote interaction; drive revenue and profit; establish and articulate communications plans. This position is located in Orchard Park, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

* Be the voice of the customer and build and maintain strong customer relationships

* Identify, generate, and maximize sales orders and revenue for the Business Unit

* Be responsible for driving the current Order book to achieve sales particularly focusing on In Service products in AAR (Air to Air Refueling) and Weapons Carriage and Release Systems

* Support and build a regional strategy focusing on AAR to provide maximum future sales

* Be the recognized expert on the Customer's market and business strategies to shape the BU response

* Understand customer needs and shape new business requirements

* Provide the Business Development and Inside Sales Team with market intelligence, insight and customer needs

* Articulate In-Service customer requirements and support the LCM/SOF-BW (Life Cycle Management/ Business Win) processes as appropriate

* Use tools (CRM - Customer Relationship Management) and processes (SOF?BW) to support sales pipeline

* Meet and/or exceed new customer account and revenue goals plus the satisfaction levels of these business accounts

* Identify customer specific value propositions and guide solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel, including service, design and management resources to meet sales performance objectives and customer expectations

* Provide input to SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Plan) for their region/customers to Outside Sales Manager

* Support negotiations where necessary to ensure closure

Minimum Requirements:

* Completed 4 year degree in Business or a Technical discipline

* Minimum of 5 years' experience with technical selling and account management

* This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Aerospace or Defense industry

* Experience identifying opportunities to create value for the customer and securing benefits for the Business Unit

* Knowledge of customer and end-user operational and programmatic requirements

* Proven customer service track record of presenting high-visibility material to both internal and external senior management.

* Successful execution of business capture and contracting
