* Prepare and provide proper and professional service to all guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner remembering to make constant contact with both internal and external customers to provide optimal guest service.

* Promote all attraction, drink and food specials, and events as requested.

* Input and ring-up charges for guest's orders using the POS system. Create a check for each transaction, make and return any change as needed.

* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times including: removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, empting garbage, clearing debris from tracks and other attractions, sweeping/mopping floors, scrubbing/sanitizing equipment, etc.

* Maintain proper and adequate set-up of Grand Adventure Land on a daily basis including, before, after and during shift. Refill chemicals, hand soap containers, etc.

* Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance to provide guest satisfaction. Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.

* Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.

* Ability to work with interruptions and to perform multiple tasks while maintaining composure in high pressure situations.

* Verify incoming and current parties, groups and events for the day referring to the weekly event schedule and the event booking sheets always coordinating with the outgoing attendants to make sure nothing is missed.

* Clean and organize GAL Snack Bar, common traffic areas, go-kart que lines, pit areas, and tracks, picnic tables, mini golf area, and Ultimate Rush area. Set up tables as needed.

* Offer guests accommodations riding go-karts, for example, back-pads and seat-belt extenders.

* Visually inspect go-karts after every race for wear and tear. Tag and pull go-karts for Lead Mechanic to service.

* Ability to assist or work in our Snack Bar and/or picking up ordered inventory items or packages from warehouses, or other departments.

* Communicate with management when supplies are needed to be ordered.

* Ability to closely follow Standard Operating Procedures without lapses, or failures to ensure guest satisfaction.

* Any other jobs, or tasks as assigned by Grand Adventure Land Management.


* Must be at least 16 years of age.

* Must be able to work Fridays-Sundays, all holidays, and may be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the GSR and Grand Adventure Land.

* Must have the ability to obtain licenses, and/or certifications to operate amusement rides without direct supervision.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

* Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours, or longer, at a time.

* Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.

o Must be able to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds continuously over the course of a shift.

o Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, amusement, and casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others.

o Must be able to speak and hear and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

o Must be able to reach with hands and arms above shoulder level.

o Must have the abilities of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
