DHL Express currently has an opening for a Casual, On-Call Warehouse Service Agent at our Miami, FL Service Station (MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH). This position will arrange the movement of freight by transportation methods on behalf of exporters and importers for DHL's import, export, trans-border and domestic product lines.

Key Accountabilities:

Assists with operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading activities, shipment processing and documentation, manifesting, bagging, sending shipment status information

May process or prepare import/export documentation to assist in the customs clearance process import/export documentation

Operates RF scanners in the breakdown of material to determine customs status and sorts product accordingly

Sorts and scans product allocating product to specific load units for exportation

Facilitates drop off and recovery of material to and from commercial airlines

Assists with the load/unload of DHL aircraft adhering to policies and procedures to facilitate the on time departure and safety of co-workers and flight crews

Handles shipments and provides feedback; attempts to resolve damaged or misplaced shipments to ensure timely transit through the gateway

Key Requirements:

HS diploma or GED required

1-3 years experience in ramp operations, airline or hub environment preferred

Must pass FAA and TSA background and security checks to acquire a SIDA badge to work

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) lbs occasionally

Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs frequently

Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
