DO & CO has opened a new Gourmet Kitchen in Chicago, by O'Hare International Airport, and created a lot of new job opportunities. We are looking for a

Food Safety Controller


  • Provide support and direction as required by means of audits, inspections, trainings and consultations to ensure understanding and compliance with applicable standards
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance and Product/Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory compliance, adhering to local, state, federal, international, environmental, health and foodsafety regulations
  • Support company's programs to ensure the success of the company overall and the based plant
  • Responsible to maintain plant up to standards for audits, pests' control and health department inspections
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring
  • Unit meets the company's, industries' and regulatory standards for food safety, sanitation and product integrity
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness and plant condition standards working closely with plant managers to focus on key issues and the success of the company overall and the based unit
  • Implements corrective action as needed
  • Ensure quality assurance, regulatory and food and product safety
  • Assess suppliers to ensure the mentioned above is never jeopardized and work closely with department managers to ensure effective implementation of new products or new practices
  • Monitoring of all integrated programs to assure that quality and regulatory compliance standards are met for food, beverage, ingredients, merchandise and supply items manufactured, distributed and sold by company
  • Oversees training and development of other staff directly and/or indirectly and provides coaching, direction and leadership support to staff
  • Food storage control and food wastage control
  • Responsible for the external cleaning company, its effectiveness, schedule, training, control, issues and invoicing
  • Responsible for the pest control its effectiveness, control, issues and invoicing
  • Responsible for the Pot Wash and Dish Wash crew: shift scheduling, staff related control function, overtime monitoring, vacation planning and disciplinary


?? Food Protection Certification

?? 1-3 years experience in this field

?? Food Safety and Quality Assurance Knowledge

?? Highly result orientated, high level of self-organisation

?? Attention to detail, hands-on mentality

?? Ability to work independently and in a team environment

?? Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)

?? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
