As a Restaurant Manager at Tenaya Lodge you will work closely with the DIrector of Restaurants and Assistant F&B Director to ensure effective overall operations of 6 venues. Responsible for the management of all aspects in the restaurant in accordance with company criteria and other priorities as set forth by Tenaya Lodge.
Scheduling, training and development of associates
Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy that serves as a guide to respective associates.
Facilitates special projects as directed by the Assistant Food and Beverage Manaer and Restaurant Director
Serves as a resource to provide solutions to direct reports, restaurant managers and supervisors. Facilitates on the job training
Maintains all company and Tenaya Lodge policy standards, culture of accountability and responsibliity and holds individuals accountable for such
Research and development of new policies, procedures, and uphold policies that elevate service standards and accouuntability of staff.
Coordinate menus and develop wine lists, handle guest relations and minitor adherence to quality assurance standards.
Inspects daily, the physical condition of facilities in conjuction with company and Tenaya four diamond standards, partnering with the Chief Engineer and Engineering staff.
Order and maintain all inventories for area
Maintain cost control efforts for labor and waste management and conduct meetings updating staff on daily goals and objectives
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Minimum of (3) years experience in a high volume restaurant/catering environment
Strong food knowledge with a variety of menus and previous experience supervising service personnel required
Strong Managerial skills required.
Strong commitment to customer and client service
Ability to communicate through oral and written skills with staff, creating a positive work environment
Demonstrate initiative, leadership and team building skills
Ability to manage frequent change
Ability to manage their own time as well as the time of others
Extensive walking and standing
Lifting up to 30 lbs frequently
Work outdoors
Carry trays, sweep, mop and clean floors
