JC Resorts has an exciting opportunity for a detail orientated, safety minded and efficient Banquet Chef with high quality standards for production and service. Working at our Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, this role will be responsible for providing luxury resort quality food and beverages for banquet functions.

Highlights of What You Get to Do:
  • Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Meet specified quality standards to prepare and present all hot foods for plated banquets and buffets, including setting up chafing dishes, plating hot foods, and coordinating service with the Food & Beverage Manager, Banquet Captain and Catering Coordinator.
  • Train and supervise Banquet Cooks in the proper preparation and presentation of all banquet foods.
  • Prepare special meals, as requested by guests for dietary or other reasons.
  • Review banquet function sheets daily, in order to establish work detail lists for Banquet cooks.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of all provisions in the Kitchen and establish programs that minimize waste.
  • Ensure safe work practices of all Banquet cooks, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use and handling of all relevant equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Efficient, reliable, safety minded with high quality standards for production and service.
  • Minimum four years' experience in food preparation, including two years in preparation of banquet foods; hotel experience preferred
  • Some supervisory experience preferred.
  • English fluency required.
  • Familiar with OSHA, SB198, local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substances.
  • Based on candidate availability, this could be a full time or part time role.
