BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
Supervises the commercial laundry production line and linen supply for The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park and assists the Executive Head Housekeeper with the financial and operational objectives of the laundry operation.


PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
Develop and monitor quality standards and procedures for laundry. Works closely with Executive Head Housekeeper on all issues pertaining to quality, cleanliness, production schedules and equipment operations.
Monitor overall conditions of the laundry and gym facility, generates maintenance requests on an ongoing basis, make recommendations to improve efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with industry related health and safety guidelines.
Provide on-going communication with internal customers to ensure quality customer service; resolve customer service issues independently or with the assistance of EHH.
Perform or schedule maintenance checks and repairs of all laundry and gym equipment.
Examine machinery and finished laundry to assure quality standards are met on a consistent basis.
Ensure the supply and delivery of linen inventory to TMCH & RV Park.
Maintain all MSDS sheets and provide safety training to staff.
Perform duties of laundry attendant as needed to support operations.
Assist and participate in the planning and business growth opportunities for commercial laundry services.
Participates in the hiring and training of all support staff; provides the day to day supervision of laundry team members.
Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
High school graduate or equivalent required. Some college level business classes a plus.
Prefer two years of work experience; experience may be in a related field such as customer service, production, industrial or administrative.
Six months of supervisory or lead experience required; an equivalent combination of related work experiences such as project management, production or work order scheduling, policy and procedure development and supervisory training or education may be substituted.
A strong record of meeting deadlines with a consistent attention to quality and detail is required.
Computer experience essential including all Windows applications.
Strong organization and administrative skills required.
Proven ability to organize and track deadlines and production schedules necessary.
A friendly, professional and approachable demeanor required for this position.
Familiarity with MSDS safety standards and procedures desired.
