Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the First Assistant Professional, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Provides bag/cart services to members and guests. Provides outstanding internal and external customer service to all employees, members, and guests of The Grand Golf Club.

* Serves as a representative of the Club, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other staff, management, members and guests.

* Compliance with all Club Safety Regulations and participation in ongoing Safety Training.

* Greets each member and guest in a friendly, professional manner.

* Assists members and guests as they approach the bag storage area.

* Monitors staging area for new arrivals.

* Brings carts from cart shelter to cart staging area outside Golf Shop.

* Prepares carts for the day with great attention to detail.

* Removes bags from Bag Storage Room and loads onto carts.

* Removes bags from carts, cleans golf clubs, and returns bags to assigned rack in Bag Storage Room.

* Tournament preparation.

* Greets and provides service to all guests at the driving range.

* Assists with various departmental needs as requested (i.e. carts, range, valet)

* Provides valet service for Club M and the golf course.

* Follows all rules, policies, and procedures set forth by Fairmont Grand Del Mar management.

* Monitor cleanliness and ball level of practice facility.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Knowledge of all driving range operations.

* Appropriately groomed to Club's standards.

* Uniform must be pressed and clean with appropriate shoes.

* When not in uniform, adhere to Club's dress code.

* Above average customer service skills

* Above average attention to detail.

* Must become familiar with members, their likes and dislikes.

* Must be able to communicate effectively with members, guests and employees. Understanding of English language is essential for communication with members and guests.

* Entry Level.

* Less than 1-year experience.

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.

* Ability to drive golf carts, shuttle, and storage vehicle

* Repetitive movement of arm at shoulder for intermittent periods of time.

* Ability to work outside in both hot and cold temperatures

Visa Requirements: Must be eligible to work in U.S.
