Job Description

We are looking for a General Manager that believes in our concept of exceptional customer service and is ready to go the extra mile to make our guests feel welcome and valued while increasing hotel profitability.

Our Boutique Hotel fosters teamwork and the highest level of customer service and individual accountability. As such, each staff member works as a team to get the job done with an end goal of increased employee satisfaction and success.

** must have previous hotel managerial experience, preferably boutique/independent

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Identify operational performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implement measures to correct those deficiencies

Ensure standard operating procedures/policies & procedures are being followed

Recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching and motivating employees

Prepare annual capital, property budgets, cash flow and outside/inside sales and marketing plans to accurately achieve required operating results

Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment. Use distribution channels and technology platforms to drive revenue and maximize market share

Lead capital plans and asset management initiatives, including working with owners to maintain or improve property's market leadership position

Create specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to drive culture of guest service and above average GSS score and remedy guest service deficiencies

Regularly participate in outside sales calls/client visits in Los Angeles and Hollywood business market

Responsible for creating a detailed budget for 2016 and each year thereafter

Ensure that hotel stays within budget and meets or exceeds revenue goals and create effective reporting to clearly show operations goals being met or exceeded

Analyze revenue management strategy using such tools as Star Reports, demand analysis and forecast tools

Gather intelligence on competitors to plan strategies and long term goals for for hotel

Comply with local and state employment labor laws and procedures

Maintain an active role in the local community and public affairs

Ensure guest rooms are spotlessly clean

Establish a preventative maintenance program with staff to protect the assets of the company

Handle special projects as requested by hotel ownership

Monitors internal cost control procedures including but not limited to ordering supplies and payroll

Assures that the hotel's preventive maintenance and energy management programs are in use

Monthly review of financial statement in order to correct problems, assure spending is in line and to plan for future business. Review and approve all expenses in "other expense" categories in all departments. Regularly review all major expenses to assure that monies are wisely expended

Is a competitive person who is consistently driven to accomplish and exceed goals. Creates a sense of urgency in matters that will impact the success of their business objectives

Food & Beverage Experience a plus, but not required
